Computer Disposal
It is everybody's responsibility to ensure that redundant IT equipment does not end up beside the road, littering the countryside or illegally finding its way into land fill.
Old IT Equipment must be recycled or processed by registered recyclers.
"Duty of Care" is part of the Environmental Law, which states that your waste is your responsibility. If you hand this responsibility to someone else, you must be satisfied that they are licensed to transport, recycle, transfer or dispose of it responsibly and legally.
Large fines are likely to be imposed on businesses that do not comply with European directives or Environmental Agency policies.

The Process
- All equipment is logged into processing plant on arrival and held in a secure area
- Equipment is tested for suitability for resale
- Data bearing media is either wiped using Blancco data eraser or shredded
- Report is issued to client
